Yes, I believe these type of sites to have the highest value backlinks as your link is not surrounded by 50 other external links.
There are hundreds of these wiki sites that let you create a whole page about yourself and link back to your own site.
When linking from these sites, I always link them together as well to give them all link juice. It’s how you link them together that gives you the best rankings.
